COMIC ONLY NO RECORD. The Amazing Spider-Man Golden Record Reprint (28-pages, full-color, standard comic format) was produced in 1966 and reprints Amazing Spider-Man #1. Although the reprint, at first glance, looks like the original, there are differences. There is no cover price on the reprint, and the back cover, as well as the inside covers, promote the Golden Record LP series of which the Amazing Spider-Man #1 is a part. The four Marvel Golden Record LPs came with a reprint comic, and each originally sold for $2.49 (record and comic together). In addition to the Amazing Spider-Man LP, there were records produced for Thor (Journey into Mystery #83), Avengers #4; and Fantastic Four #1, all with their own reprint comic. We bought these sets when they first appeared and can still remember following the story in the comic reprint while the record played and the narrator read the story to us. Just to make sure we didn't lose our place, he would say "Turn page," each time he finished the last panel on a page.

1st printing. Written by Don Roff. Art by Chris Lane. The year is 2011, and what starts as a pervasive and inexplicable illness ends up as a zombie infestation that devastates the world's population. Taking the form of a biologist's illustrated journal found in the aftermath of the attack, this pulse-pounding, suspenseful tale of a zombie apocalypse follows the narrator as he flees from city to countryside and heads north to Canada, where - he hopes - the undead will be slowed by the colder climate. Encountering scattered humans and scores of the infected along the way, he fills his notebook with graphic drawings of the zombies and careful observations of their behavior, along with terrifying tales of survival. Softcover, 8 1/2-in. x 11-in., 144 pages, PC/PB&W. Cover price $19.95.
