Tracy comic books issue 132

  • Issue #132
    Dick Tracy Monthly (1948-1961 Dell/Harvey) 132
    • INCOMPLETE. Centerfold missing, interrupts art and story.

Stories and art by Chester Gould and others. Harvey, best known for its children's comics, reprints the original comic-strip adventures of legendary tough cop Dick Tracy and his rogues gallery of freakish enemies. In the Comics Code era, some of the original art is altered to remove violent content and narrative repetition. This issue reprints strips from 1956. After Skinney's murder, Flattop Jr. is haunted by her ghost, becoming a human wreck. Lizz, meanwhile, investigates Ivy, unaware that Flattop Jr. is nearby and at the end of his sanity. Also including eight Crimestoppers Textbook strips, likely from 1956. Cover art may be the work of comics legend John Severin. The Case of Flattop's Last Big Show; Out of the Ashes; Dick Tracy's Crimestoppers Textbook; How Fingerprints are Taken. 36 Pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
