Thor tries to dispel it, but is struck by lightning instead; After forcing with all his might, it finally disperses; Back inside, Jane tells Thor that the Warriors Three have caused a traffic jam; Thor goes and "rescues" them, and when they return, they find Jane with Balder in tatters; He tells Thor of the madness that has gripped Odin; They travel to Asgard, only to be stopped by Heimdall and beset by the warriors of Asgard; They defeat the warriors and meet up with the rebellion in Asgard; They then go to free Vizier from the Tower of Solitude. "If Asgard Should Perish...!", script by Len Wein, pencils by John Buscema (breakdowns) and Tony DeZuniga (finished art), inks by Tony DeZuniga; Igron tells Thor how he came across a diminutive Mangog in the dungeon; Igron then stole a portion of each Asgardians life force to bring Mangog back to power, which explained their lethargic state; After Odin regained his memory and left Earth for Asgard, he disappeared and never arrived; Igron then cast a spell to make Mangog look like Odin, and thus their plan was born; The guards then attack Thor and while he is distracted, Mangog strikes him down; Elsewhere, the warriors rally the people to their cause, but when they arrive at the gates, they see Thor shackled up like a scarecrow; As they strike, Mangog (back in disguise), transforms them all to animals; He finally snaps and kills Igron as well, which ends his disguise and everyone knows it's really Mangog and not Odin; Thor manages to break himself free, and races Mangog to the Odinsword.     This issue reprints Thor 159, "The Answer at Last!", script by Stan Lee, pencils by Jack Kirby, inks by Vince Colletta. After completing a surgery successfully, Dr. Donald Blake returns to his apartment where he begins to ponder about the secrets of his double identity; Namely, is he really Thor or Donald Blake?; And if he is the latter, what happened to the original Thor?; Drifting to sleep, he dreams about going to Asgard in his godly form and asking Odin for the answers that have been plaguing him; Hearing this request from Asgard, Odin decrees that Blake shall be told the truth, and when Blake awakens, Odin appears before him and tells him the fate of what happened to Thor many years ago; Odin tells of a time when Thor was brash, arrogant, and reckless.
