Comic book starring the Warner Bros. cartoon character Porky Pig. Robot Bird; Porky buys a parakeet for Petunia, but it escapes its cage; Bugs is working for a company that makes robot bird retrievers and tries to use one to capture the parakeet. Porky Pig Meets the Great Optic; Porky says he can't be hypnotized, but when he volunteers to be a subject at a performance of "The Great Optic," he is, of course, immediately hypnotized. The Builder; Porky decides that he'll build a summer cabin for Petunia on a lot at the lake; Porky goes through the usual construction mishaps and then finds himself stranded in the middle of the lake when the lot breaks loose and slides into the lake. The Rag Rug Roundup; Petunia is weaving a rag rug for a hobby show and sends Porky to collect rags for it. Turtle Race; Porky and Cicero have a turtle race. Science Fantasy, which later became Impulse and then SF Impulse, was a UK published science-fiction and fantasy digest that began production in the Summer of 1950 and was distributed by Nova Publications as a companion to Nova's New Worlds. When Nova went out of business in early 1964, The title was changed to Impulse in early 1966, to little avail, and then changed once more to SF Impulse for the last few issues. Science Fantasy ceased publication the following year, after the printer went bankrupt.
