Reprints the original Incredible Hulk in German, 1:20 gold foil stamped variant. Distributed as an exclusive bonus comic in a foreign comic multi-pack (Marvel Jubiläum Pack 8) with four other Marvel Deutschland comics. The first appearance and origin of the Incredible Hulk in "The Coming of the Hulk." Script by Stan Lee, pencils by Jack Kirby, inks by Paul Reinman. 1st app. Rick Jones, General Ross, and Betty Ross. It's the height of the Cold War and the government is about to test their new Gamma Bomb. Unfortunately, a carefree and oblivious teenager named Rick Jones wanders out onto the test area. Dr. Bruce Banner, the creator of the Gamma Bomb, rushes out to warn the young man away. However, the bomb explodes and as Banner pushes the teenager to safety he is caught in the heart of a Gamma maelstrom. The gamma-rays that bombard Banner's taunt frame transform his physiology. Now, whenever Banner becomes angry he transforms into the man-brute known as the Incredible Hulk. Feared by the public and hunted by the army, the Hulk becomes one of the most tragic figures in Marvel's history. General "Thunderbolt" Ross will not rest until the Hulk is destroyed. The creature's only allies are Rick Jones and Betty Ross, Thunderbolt's daughter and Banner's one true love. Thus begins the epic saga of the world's mightiest mortal. NOTE: Notice that the Hulk was colored grey for the first few issues of his series. In an interview, Stan Lee (creator) said very simply that the reason for this was that grey was the easiest color for the copiers of the time to print. When the technology got better the Hulk became green, and according to Stan, for no better reason than they didn't have a green hero in their stable yet. Cover price $0.12.

The Hulk has seen the future...and it is murder. Beloved Hulk writer Peter David brings readers two classic dystopian tales of earth-shaking impact. Both stories find the Hulk at the end of the Earth - and at the end of his rope! In "Future Imperfect," the Hulk is the last super power in a post-apocalyptic Earth, ruling with an iron fist as the wicked Maestro. But summoned from the past by a small band of rebels is perhaps the only being who can stand against him! And in "The End," the green-skinned titan walks alone through a wasted and barren land - and must confront the one who is easily his ultimate nemesis! These two tales of the end times surely rank among the classics in Marvel history!

Hulk 500pts. Komikai Micro Comics are mini versions of Marvel comics small enough to fit in your pocket. This series reprints various Marvel comics with back covers replaced by pin-ups of various Marvel characters. All have other interior changes from originals. Sold individually, and in in plastic blister packs of 5 and 7 comics. Originally packaged with hard, transparent, plastic cases called "Kaiza" that help to protect the Komikai during game-play, and a magnifying glass (called a "Magna-Kaiza") to facilitate reading. Komikai is played like marbles. Kaizas, each containing a mini-comic, are arranged standing up, and players take turns to try to knock them down with a throwing Kaiza. Each Komikai has a points value, from 50 to 500. Players decide whether to play for bragging rights or for keeps. Saddle Stitched, 1 1/4-in. x 1 3/4.

By Roy Thomas.
In 1962, he was created by exposure to gamma radiation in Incredible Hulk #1. Not only did the Hulk fight anyone who got in his way, but his alter ego, Bruce Banner, fought the multiple personality disorder that transformed him, spawning many other versions of the Hulk, each of whom were aspects of Bruce's personality. Despite that, the Hulk took down the Leader, the Abomination, and Wolverine, among hundreds of other great villains. The star of a smash-hit TV show, two blockbuster movies, and hundreds of great comics, he's one of the most instantly recognizable characters in the world.
