Tailspin Tommy in "The Battle in the Air" is story #6 of what was supposed to be a series of 30 Tailspin Tommy Adventures sold only with Big Thrill Chewing Gum as an insert. However, only 6 stories were actually printed. 8 pages with 3 pages in color and 5 in black and white, 2-7/8-in. x 2-3/8-in. #6 "Tom Mix Thwarts Killers From the Sky." Inside is a text story (with illustrations), 2-3/8 x 2-3/4 in.; black and white; 8 pages.
