1st printing. Written by Ineke Mok. Art and cover by Eric Heuvel.
Quaco was just a boy when he was ruthlessly kidnapped by human traffickers around 1770 and sold to the captain of a slave ship. Quaco managed to survive the harrowing ocean crossing, and eventually landed in Paramaribo (Suriname) on the estate of the wealthy plantation owner and administrator Walter Kennedy. Quaco was one of the millions of Africans who fell victim to the trans-Atlantic slave trade. His life story is partly based on John Gabriel Stedman's illustrated memoires of his time as an army captain in Suriname.

1st printing. Story and art by J Webster Sharp. 'Dentist Robs Women of Teeth' - 'Death Chair for Nice Old Man' - 'Mother Feeds Son Like Bird.' The British newspaper clipping collection of egalitarian George Ives, collected between 1892 and 1949, ranged from murder and theories of crime to cricket scores. He was fascinated by the unusual, the gothic, the sexual, and the melodramatic. In this graphic novel, acclaimed cartoonist J. Webster Sharp shares some of the most bizarre stories from his archives in silent comics form. With often shocking, visceral black and white artwork, the strangeness and eccentricity of the Edwardian era provides a backdrop for Sharp's own struggles with mental health. THE SCRAPBOOK OF LIFE AND DEATH is a fascinating, personal window into forgotten historical views of eccentric and socially transcendent and disturbing behaviors-and their resonance in life today. By Bill Schelly.
A fascinating story of growing up as a gay fan of comic books in the 1960s, building a fifty-year career as an award-winning writer, and interacting with acclaimed comic book legends. Award-winning writer Bill Schelly relates how comics and fandom saved his life in this engrossing story that begins in the burgeoning comic fandom movement of the 1960s and follows the twists and turns of a career that spanned fifty years. Schelly recounts his struggle to come out at a time when homosexuality was considered a mental illness, how the egalitarian nature of fandom offered a safe haven for those who were different, and how his need for creative expression eventually overcame all obstacles. He describes living through the AIDS epidemic, finding the love of his life, and his unorthodox route to becoming a father. He also details his personal encounters with major talents of 1960s comics, such as Steve Ditko (co-creator of Spider-Man), Jim Shooter (writer for DC and later editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics), and Julius Schwartz (legendary architect of the Silver Age of comics).

1st printing.
Story and art by Eric Orner.
What are the odds that a disheveled, zaftig, closeted kid with the thickest of Jersey accents might wind up running Boston on behalf of a storied Irish Catholic political machine, drafting the nation's first gay rights laws, reforming Wall Street after the Great Recession, and finding love, after a lifetime assuming that he couldn't and wouldn't?
In Smahtguy: The Life and Times of Barney Frank, America's first out member of Congress and gay and civil rights crusader for an era is confirmed as a hero of our age. This funny, beautifully rendered, warts-and-all graphic account pays tribute to the striving of committed liberals to defend ordinary Americans from an assault on their shared society.
