They were the first couple of truth and justice, the Man of Steel and the tough-as-nails reporter who was the love of his life. Then came the Flashpoint…the Convergence…and their world was wiped from reality, replaced with the New 52 worlds that make up the Multiverse. Now Lois and Clark, as well as their young son Jonathan, find themselves in a world very much like their own but populated by a new breed of younger, angrier heroes – including a whole new Superman. And when that Superman falls in the line of duty, the original Man of Steel must step in to take his place. No sooner does the legendary hero take to the skies tan his greatest enemies emerge to face him, from Metropoliss self-styled protector Lex Luthor to the engine of death and destruction known as Doomsday. Meanwhile, a person – or being – claiming to be the real Clark Kent is dogging his every move. And back in the fields of Smallville, his wife Lois and son Jonathan face this strange new world as well. A new era has dawned. Is the Man of Tomorrow ready to face it? Legendary SUPERMAN artist and writer DAN JURGENS brings his singular vision to the Man of Steels last and first story in the wake of the DC Universes New 52 and Rebirth events. THE SINS OF THE SON SHALL BE VISITED UPON THE FATHER! From the endlessly creative minds of comics legends Grant Morrison (52, All-Star Superman, We3, New X-Men) and Andy Kubert (Adam Strange, 1602, X-Men) comes a startling new chapter in the life of Gotham's Dark Knight. The mysterious Talia, daughter of the archvillain Ra's al Ghul and Batman's onetime love, returns with a boy named Damian and claims the child is Batman's son. Stunned, the Dark Knight takes the child in, but the boy, raised among the brutal dictates of the League of Assassins, has his own agenda. Soon both Tim Drake, Bruce Wayne's newly adopted heir, and Alfred, Wayne's faithful butler, find themselves targets of this genetically perfect and very angry child. Is Damian really just a young, misguided boy trying to prove himself to his father--or have long years of Talia's indoctrination left him an operative solely designed to destroy the Batman? Under the masterly skills of Morrison and Kubert, Batman & Son is one of the most intriguing Batman tales ever told. It also features the artwork of John VanFleet (Batman: The Chalice) in a unique story highlighting the Joker. Softcover, 200 pages, full color. Teen Cover price $9.99.
