Now the legendary creative team of Garth Ennis and Goran Parlov brings the first of those stories to light: the tale of Frank Castle's first command, and his first kill. During the Tet Offensive, death surrounded Lt. Castle's platoon on all sides. How far would Frank go to protect his men? Especially when the danger came from the indifference of his commanders? And while Castle was engaged in the grind of war, a kindred spirit on the enemy's side watched...and waited. It's a seemingly hopeless mission. It's Lt. Castle's first platoon. It's the answer to the question: What made the Punisher?

1st printing. Introduction by Craig Stecyk. For thirty years, Thrasher has been the bible of the skateboarding world. Collected here for the first time are thirty years worth of outrageous, memorable, iconic, and collectible covers—front pages that caught every skater kids eye and became the most treasured records of the history of the skate scene. From early pioneers such as Jay Adams, Tony Alva, and Steve Caballero through the giants of the 1980s and 1990s, including Tony Hawk and Brian Anderson, to such legends of the scene today as James Hardy and Justin Figueroa, every icon of skating has graced the cover of Thrasher, captured in mid-air and mid-action by the sharpest shooters around. Organized chronologically, and including every cover published in Thrashers first thirty years—even long out-of-print and hard-to-find collectible issues—the book at last reveals the stories behind these legendary cover-photo shoots, as told by the skaters, photographers, and editors who made these the most iconic mementos of skate culture. Softcover, 8 1/2-in. x 11-in., 228 pages, full color. Cover price $35.00.

The leader of Team Apollo, Axl drives hard and lives by a strict code of honor. That honor will be pushed to its limits by the Caesar, the cunning ruler of the Roman Empire, and the Dominus, the absolute master of the Truckus Maximus games who can change its rules at will. But Axl can't survive this race on his own. To do that, he'll have to embrace his team, including a defiant new racer named Piston.

Will he learn that family is more important than honor and The Game? Or will he go down in flames?

This item is not in stock at MyComicShop. If you use the "Add to want list" tab to add this issue to your want list, we will email you when it becomes available.

1st Printing. This is the legendary collage masterpieces of Max Ernst (b. 1891), one of the leading figures of the surrealistic movement and among the most original artists of the 20th century. From old catalog and pulp novel illustrations, Ernst produced this series of 182 bizarre and darkly humorous collage scenes of classic dreams and erotic fantasies which seem mysteriously to lure the unconscious into view: Stern, proper-looking women sprout giant sets of wings, serpents appear in the drawing -room and bed chamber, a baron has the head of a lion, a parlor floor turns to water on which some people can apparently walk while others drown. Une Semaine De Bonté is divided into seven parts, one for each day of the week, with each section illustrating one of Ernst's "seven deadly elements." "Oedipus," "The Court of the Dragon," and "Three Visible Poems" are among the startling episodes of Ernst's week. The Dada and surrealist epigraphs which introduce each section appear in this edition in both French and English. Une Semaine De Bonté first appeared in 1934 in a series of five pamphlets of fewer than 1,000 copies each, and has never been reprinted before this present edition. Previously available only to a few libraries and collectors, this is a major source and great treat for anyone interested in the surrealists and their work, in collage, visual illusion, dream visions, and the interpretations of dreams. Softcover, 8" x 10.5" 208 pages, B&W. Cover price $6.95.
