Afterword by Norman Chen. Asian American and Pacific Islander history is American history, but the unique experiences, challenges, and contributions of AAPIs are rarely taught in American schools. For many Americans of Asian American or Pacific Islander descent who grew up in the United States, there continues to be a startling lack of opportunity to learn about our own history in our country. Fighting to Belong! shares this important and dynamic part of American history in an accessible and engaging graphic novel format. Softcover, 40 pages, full color. Cover price $11.95.

Grifters, Floaters and Punks HC (2026 FB) A Reimagined Field Guide for the 50 State Birds 1-1ST

    (see more images)

1st printing. By Keith Bendis. In the mid-1800s, self-made naturalist and outdoorsman John James Audubon began work on his collection of 435 watercolor plates that would become the standard-setting Birds of America. Now, some nigh on two hundred years later, its indisputable and entirely authentic successor has finally emerged. Master cartoonist Keith Bendis has traveled to all four corners of this nation, or wishes he had, returning with accounts of the Beach Stoners of North Carolina, the Impossible Screamers of Alaska that lay eggs five times the size of their body, the too coo for school Red-Capped Delaware Slackers, and the alluring Pink-Breasted Frogcatcher of the Louisiana bayou. These most whimsical and biologically unsound members of the avian species are brought to life in a style reminiscent of Gary Larsons Far Side, handsomely coupled with a rarefied New Yorker panache. Simply put, Grifters, Floaters, and Punks is essential reading for both seasoned birdwatchers and budding ornithologists as well as lovers of screwball cartooning. Hardcover, 8-in.x 10-in., 18 pages, full color. Cover price $25.00.

Written by Patrice Guillon and Emilie Giullon. Art and cover by Sebastien Samson.

In constant flux between the transient euphoria and utter despair of biopolar disorder, Camille attempts to decode her mind and treat her illness. However, she discovers that the will of the patient is not always enough to cure the ills of the mind, and the only way she can find a semblance of peace is when surrounded and supported, if not understood. It is this compassion which allows her to stay anchored in life, a buoy ebbing and flowing with the ocean.

States of Mind's strength is in its unabashed and unapologetic account of the destruction and desolation that the disorder causes, but more importantly, the beautiful humanity and compassion that blossom in its wake.

1st printing. Written by Lamar Giles. Art and cover by Paris Alleyne and Yancey Labat. What happens when The NEW YORK TIMES bestselling writer Lamar Giles and illustrator Paris Alleyne take their heroes on an epic night that goes from bad...to worst? When Virgil Hawkins revealed his secret identity as Static to his girlfriend, Daisy, he thought that was going to make their relationship a lot easier. But Daisy is tired of all the super-heroics interrupting their date nights on a regular basis. Now, just as Virgil is about to invite her to the big Dakota music festival for her birthday, she's calling it quits and breaking up with him. Determined to distract his best friend, Virgil's buddy Richie Foley (also known as the superhero Gear) convinces him that they should use the tickets themselves. When they run into Raquel Ervin and Isadora Wellington--who each have secret identities of their own--what follows is a night that nobody was ready for: a blackout, some super-villains, and a rapper in disguise are just the start. And even worse, there's Daisy with a new guy... Virgil is about to learn not even superpowers can conquer a broken heart. Softcover, 6-in. x 9-in., 208 pages, full color. Cover price $16.99.
