Stories and art by Paul Gustavson, Norman Daniels, Fred Guardineer, Tod Moro, Richard Speed, Fred Schwab, William Allison, Dick Ryan, and Rafael Astarita. Centaur Publishing takes over publishing of the former Star Ranger Comics, one of the first Western-themed comics. Short Western strips, sometimes just one to three pages, with titles like Wild West Junior and Cowboy Jake. The Trouble Hunters tackle a new assignment in the modern West. The Air Patrol gets an aerial view of a crime. A centerfold by Fred Guardineer presents a barroom brawl, complete with a bystander holding "Star Ranger" comics and a wanted poster for publisher Ken Fitch. This series was the only one from Centaur to carry the Centaur brand emblem on its covers.
