    Cover pencils by Al Milgrom, inks by Alan Weiss. "Shoot-Out at the O.K. Space Station!", script by Steve Englehart (plot; script) and Al Milgrom (plot), pencils by Al Milgrom, inks by Frank Giacoia and Mike Esposito; Rick and Captain Marvel are transported to a faraway asteroid by the Supreme Intelligence. They start to suffocate in the asteroid's poisonous atmosphere, but are helped by a nearby thyamite prospector named Shabby Allus, who gives them helmets to breathe. Seeing the star on Captain Marvel's costume, Allus assumes he's the Marshall he sent for, though Mar-Vell protests that his name isn't "Mar-Shall". Rick, using his Nega-Band, acts on an idea he had and transmutes the matter of his clothes into a red and blue costume more appropriate for the setting, joking that he might call himself "Marvel Boy". Mar-Vell is alarmed that Rick is finding more uses for the Nega-Bands than he ever did; Drax the Destroyer cameo. The letters page contains Marvel Value Stamp series B # 18 (the Fantastic Four). "Kidnap Caper" Hostess snack cakes ad starring Spider-Man. 36 pgs., full color. Cover price $0.25.

Captain Marvel manages to turn the heads against each other, then captures Mr. Mind, but a masked stranger enters and knocks Billy out in "The Monster Society of Evil Chapter 21: The Unholy Hydra!" by Otto Binder and C.C. Beck. Plus: George Hammond has invented a camera that can take pictures from the future, and dishonest photographer Slick Fokus plans a bank robbery for a time when he learns from Hammond's camera that Captain Marvel and most of the city will be on the other side of town in "Captain Marvel in St. Paul, Minnesota"! Also: Professor Putter has invented a machine that can predict different possibilities, but his assistant turns out to be a Nazi spy who wants to know what would happen if Captain Marvel joined Hitler. Even worse, that future seems to be coming true in "Captain Marvel In the World of If" with story by Otto Binder. And: Billy meets brothers Happy and Jolly Smith, who want to give toys from their factory to the children at the Creedmore Orphanage, but their miserly older brother Gouge refuses to consider it. It's up to Captain Marvel to persuade Gouge to change his mind so that the orphans can have a merry Christmas in "The Plot Against Christmas"!
