Men of two rival nations, France and England, had fought and died for possession of the new continent, America. The British had won, but the French flag still floated over several of their western outposts. It remained for the British to take possession of these forts. The Conspirators, 1st Printing, Painted Cover. (HRN 156, with 9/60 date). When Louis XIV died in 1715, his great grandson came to the throne at the age of five. A battle over who should be regent and rule the country until the king was old enough developed between two parties - one led by Philippe, the Duc d'Orleans, and the other by the Duc de Maine. Although Philippe became regent, the followers of his rival did not remain idle. A young man, Raoul d'Harmental, was committed to kidnap the regent until, by strange action of fate, Raoul's very life depended upon the man he was to have kidnapped. Cover price $0.15.

With cattle came rustling and with rustling came the need for law and justice. For some, law came out of a blazing gun and justice meant swinging at the end of a rope in the cold dawn. Then, a strange vehicle, moving with lightning speed, appeared in the United States. But when a mysterious underwater craft was sighted, John Strock, head inspector of the Federal police, found that all these happenings were caused by a single machine, which could fly above the earth, sail or ride on its surface, and dive into the water's depths. A record of two thousand pounds was posted by the British for the capture of Nana Sahib, one of the prime movers of the Sepoy Revolt of 1857 in India. Colonel Munro, who had lost his wife in the revolt, hated Nana Sahib with a deadly passion. Then a chance to invitation to join a hunting party touring the north of India brought Colonel Munro face to face with his mortal enemy. Cover price $0.15.

Castle Dangerous, 1st Printing, Painted Cover. Art by Stan Campbell. (HRN 141, with 11/57 date). In 1307, the Scots were in the midst of a bloody struggle to free themselves from England. Among the possessions in dispute was Douglas Castle. It belonged to the Scotsman, James Douglas, but was held by force by an English garrison under the command of Sir John de Walton. James Douglas was as determined to regains his castle as Walton was to hold it. Only one of these two gallant men could triumph in the battle for the dangerous castle. Cover price $0.15.
