Stories and art by Chester Gould and others. Harvey, best known for its children's comics, reprints the original comic-strip adventures of legendary tough cop Dick Tracy and his rogues gallery of freakish enemies. In the Comics Code era, some of the original art is altered to remove violent content and narrative repetition. This issue reprints strips from March – April 1940. Tracy investigates the identity of the amnesiac known only as Mary X. It turns out she witnessed a murder, and the killer wants to keep her from remembering at any cost. Cover art may be the work of comics legend Joe Simon. Who Is Mary X?; I Remember Murder; Minit Mystery; Ricardo and the Wolves; The Puppets. 36 Pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
