An injured messenger with a note for Gene Autry sends Gene on the trail of would-be counterfeiters, in a story with art by Tarzan artist Jesse Marsh. Gene encounters a dying man on the road, victim of bushwhackers. he learns that the nearby town is terrified of the so-called ghost outlaws of Devil's Pass.
