Volume 1 - 1st printing. "February-July 1957/November-December 1957!" Collects Masked Raider (1955 Charlton) #6-9 and Billy the Kid (1956 Charlton) #9-10. Cover by Dick Giordano and Vince Alascia. PS Artbooks presents Billy the Kid Volume 1, all the fictional Western stories based on the historical character Billy the Kid published by Charlton Comics. The Billy the Kid character made his first appearance in Masked Raider - Billy the Kid - Western Outlaw #6 (February 1957). With regular backup features included Bounty Hunter Shawn O'Meara, Tenderfoot Sheriff John Lind, Mr. Young of the Boothill Gazette, and Apache Red. Then taking over the numbering of Masked Raider, with Billy the Kid: Western Outlaw #9 (November 1957) and running for another 147 issues until its eventual demise in issue #153 March 1983. Regular contributors to the title included writer Joe Gill and artists Pat Boyette, John D'Agostino, José Delbo, Dick Giordano, Rocke Mastroserio, Bill Mono, Pete Morisi, Charles Nicholas, Warren Sattler and John Severin.
