Comic book version of the popular comic strip cat, Heathcliff. In this issue, Chubbs and Sprockett, the vice mice who first appeared in issue #11, return and they are on another case. This time someone has stolen the Florida Keys and the chief suspects are the Hood Robin Gang and Heathcliff is eager to help in "Return of the Vice Mice." Script by Michael Gallagher and art by Warren Kremer & Jacqueline Roettcher. And in "Wet Paint," Heathcliff makes fun of Grandpa's painting but then learns about how valuable paintings can be. Script by J. Edwards and art by Warren Kremer. In "Father and Sun," Heathcliff's dad escapes from prison and reunites with Heathcliff at the beach. Script by Angelo DeCesare and art by Warren Kremer. Star Studded 16 - November 1969 This is the first issue titled just "Star Studded" - no "Comics" in the title. Format: Offset/Lithograph process Wrap-around binding with staples in center. Original price was 75 cents Color front cover by Howard Keltner features Dr. Weird and back cover is by Jim Sullivan "Let's Talk It Over!" column announces that Star-Studded Comics has a new publisher, Joe Bob Williams. Says that the Texas Trio are still the editors but Williams will handle all of the "paper work." Letters from Peter Jaksa, Don Ensign, Charles Schreck, Richard "Grass" Green, Ronn Foss, Jon Wilmunen, and Richard Kyle. Issue also features John Ryan's "Bidgee" column which tells of comic related news from Australia. This column also appeared in issues 11 and 13. In this issue, "Bidgee" tells about artist Stanley Pitt and reprints three pages of his "Silver Star" strip. Issue has two pages of photos from the Southwestern Con 1969, a comic convention held in Texas, and a four page portfolio with artwork by Keith Fukumitsu, Dave Cockrum, Gary Kato, and Mike Chadwell.
