Horror sensation Cullen Bunn (Harrow County, Bone Parish) returns to the world of Empty Man with artist Jesús Hervás (Lucas Stand, Clive Barker's Hellraiser) in this new ongoing series. The nation is in the grip of a terrible pandemic. The so-called Empty Man disease causes insanity and violence. Government quarantines are mandatory. Written by Cullen Bunn. Art and Cover by Vanesa Del Rey. WHY WE LOVE IT: There's nothing scarier than horror that hits home-a tale of terror only one or two steps removed from our reality. THE EMPTY MAN is a dystopic version of the world we know, where a terrifying disease has taken on almost deific connotations. WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT: Cullen Bunn (THE SIXTH GUN, VENOM) and Vanesa R. Del Rey (HIT) are two of the most exciting talents in the industry, and perfectly in sync on this haunting new crime procedural. WHAT IT'S ABOUT: It's been one year since the first reported case of the Empty Man disease, and no drug has been able to slow its progress. The cause is unknown, and the symptoms include fits of rage, hideous hallucinations, suicidal dementia, followed by death, or a near lifeless, 'empty' state of catatonia. As murder cults rise nationwide, the FBI and CDC enter a joint investigation of the Empty Man, hoping to piece together clues to stop the cult and uncover a cure. 24 pages, full color. Cover price $3.99.

Regular art cover. The mantle has been passed down among the Saquin Nation for countless generations. It is a burden of responsibility -- of trust -- to protect mankind from a hidden threat. A race of evolved dinosaurs lives among us. Hundreds of years ago, they escaped an interdimensional nexus called the Lost Land and have been plotting, waiting, for the day when they can lead their people through the barrier to rightfully reclaim Earth as their own. The man accidentally responsible for allowing this to happen decreed that his family line would bear the weight of the world on their shoulders. The first born male in every generation would be Turok -- the Son of Stone -- the defender of Earth from the dinosaur menace -- and from supernatural threats and incursions from the Lost Land. The mantle has been passed on from generation to generation. For hundreds of years. The threat still exists. Now the current Turok is dying...and the next in line is more worried about hitting a breaking ball than saving the planet. Joshua Fireseed is a sophomore baseball star at Oklahoma College at Oklahoma City. He's turned his back on his culture, his traditions and his dysfunctional family because a .356 batting average, a possible pro contract and a rockin' social life matter more to him. Until he's called back home. And he's told he must begin his training to become the next Turok. To hunt dinosoids. To protect Earth. Because it's the family business. Nepotism sucks, don't it? Written by Fabian Nicieza, with art and cover by Rafael Kayanan. FC, 48 pgs. Cover price $3.95.

Written by Sibylline Desmazieres and Capucine. Art by Jerome D'Aviau.
In the middle of a quiet, not-so-special clearing in the woods, a wee tiny whatsit wakes up without any memory at all. So he sets off in search of his maker, as well as some sense of purpose in Life. Along the way, he encounters a bizarre cast of silly, helpful, and oddly poignant characters who teach him how to survive this crazy game called Existence.
The Big Empty Life of Alphonse Tabouret is an existential fairy tale about Life, Love, Loss, and the search for answers to questions we all ask nobody in particular. While cute and silly on the surface, almost every encounter is metaphorical (without being heavy-handedly so). This adorably engaging and heartwarming tale invites the reader to decipher the life lessons gleaned by Alphonse in personal terms that speak to today's social conditions. Through the innocent lens of simple, cute characterization, readers are presented with honest questions about parenting, materialism, addiction, codependency, narcissism, depression, and the search for meaning that we all undergo every day.

1st printing. Story and art by Carol Swain. Collecting over thirty short stories by London-based writer/artist Carol Swain, Crossing the Empty Quarter and Other Stories is Swain's first career-spanning retrospective! The "graphic lit" love children of Gabriel García Márquez and Raymond Carver, Swain's comics first appeared in the late 1980s, and she has since contributed to over twenty anthologies across the globe. Her introspective, boldly executed, and visually unique works are peppered with magical realism, autobiography, and tenacious punk attitudes. While Swain's tales cover a wide range of emotions, politics, and societal ills, they are all tied together with an art style that is universally appealing and undeniably unique. Two brand-new color stories, created for this hardcover volume, are featured in a special color section. Alan Moore describes Carol Swain's work as "dark and full of life, like soil . . . a perfect example of what modern comics are capable of if they only try." Hardcover, 200 pages, B&W. NOTE: "Carol Swain has one of the most unique and compelling styles in comics." - Time "The Raymond Carver of British comics." - Time Out Cover price $24.95.

Enter an offbeat city where dreams blur with reality, eccentric characters populate the diners and donut shops, and instead of chess, everyone plays an exotic game with pyramids. A city where Martian artists lurk among us, and time travel has been patented! Back in the mid 80's, Andy Looney wrote a short story called Icehouse, in which he described a world where everyone was playing a game with little pyramids. This inspired the creation of the game of the same name. In '91 he combined this story with the short story "The Empty City" and others set in the same universe into a novel-length book of that name.
