This issue debuts the now-obscure science fiction strip Twin Earths, featuring a duplicate Earth on the far side of the Sun. FBI agent Garry Verth discovers that the lovely Vana is actually a spy from a counter-Earth called Terra, where women rule an advanced civilization. One of the backup strips in the comic is Charles Schulz's Peanuts, then only in its fourth year, presented in full color. Li'l Abner reckons with Daisy Mae, Marryin' Sam, Cave Girl, Bathsheba Bargrease and Orson Welles, in a Li'l Abner storyline by Al Capp. Plus the Ripley-like Strange as It Seems.
