Outlaws target Broncho Bill after their crimes are published in the town newspaper. Fritzi's new high-rise apartment is visible from tourists in the "sightseeing dirigible," in a very early strip by Ernie Bushmiller. The Captain goes lion hunting with a shotgun tied to a dog, but that works as well as you might expect. Lola is determined to split up Jim Hardy and Nancy, but cute youngster Bill tries to help by telling Nancy that Jim wants to kill himself. Plus a Tarzan adventure with art by Burne Hogarth. Tip-Topper Comics collected some of United Features Syndicates most popular comic strips of the 1940s in full color, including Lil Abner and Fritzi Ritz. In the sci-fi strip Twin Earths, flying disks from outer space prepare to invade the Earth. One of the backup strips in the comic is Charles Schulz's Peanuts, then only in its fifth year, presented in full color. Li'l Abner and all of Dogpatch are in the power of Nightmare Alice.
