In this issue, the editor notes Saunders' use of a then innovative "wide-angle" panel, a device first used by Kirby in early "Adventures of the Fly" issues, and later used by Steranko in "Nick Fury, Agent of SHIELD." The use of "wide-angle" panels is now a common feature in "widescreen" comics like "The Ultimates" and "The Authority."
