    (see more images)

1st printing. In the post-industrial wasteland of Cleveland in the 1990s, artist Clay Parker created a massive body of fliers and comix unseen for decades. His work was infused with sex, drugs, booze, and a churning intensity; his black and white grotesques writhed and groped on the page. He created flier artwork for all the luminaries of the 90s gunk-punk underground with an emphasis on elaborate lettering and eye-gouging imagery. He drew prolifically and obsessively for a decade, then fell out of the public eye.UNTIL NOW.UP FOR THREE DAYS: THE ART OF CLAY PARKER collects hundreds of show fliers, comics, and drawings by an unknown master of black and white illustration. Part anthropological study, part cautionary tale, UP FOR THREE DAYS is the first-ever collection of this overlooked rock n roll smut maestro. Featuring an introduction by Cleveland comics stalwart Jake Kelly and extended commentary by artist Clay Parker, UP FOR THREE DAYS is a jaw-dropping, laugh- filled, gross-out marathon through Parkers jagged black and white world. ADULTS ONLY. A Pave the Ocean Press / Stone Church Press Production. Softcover, 8 1/2-in. x 11-in., 192 pages, B&W. Mature Readers Cover price $35.00.

Us v. Them HC (2026 Abrams Press) The Age of Indie Music and a Decade in New York 2004-2014 1-1ST

    (see more images)

1st printing. By Ronen Givony. A sweeping and in-depth history of the Brooklyn music scene over ten years in Bloomberg's New York, from a writer and concert producer who had a front-row view of it all In the tradition of Just Kids and Our Band Could Be Your Life, Ronen Givonys Us v. Them chronicles the generation of young artists who came to Brooklyn in the mid-2000s: a small but seismic scene that coalesced under a billionaire mayor, a series of forever wars, and a music industry in free fall. In tandem with the impresarios and unlicensed venues that lined the Williamsburg waterfront, combining elements of noise and pop, a few became unlikely superstars. Meanwhile, countless flared and vanished, reminders of an unusually fertile moment—the age of indie—that now means little more than a term of marketing. Through reporting, research, and interviews with musicians, industry insiders, and individuals from Pitchfork, Vice, Scion, and the Red Bull Music Academy, Us v. Them examines the rise and fall of indie music in a post-Napster landscape, marked by vast disruption in technology, politics, economics, journalism, and patronage. At once a social history and an eyewitness account of an improbable decade, Us v. Them gives a critical analysis of what indie music was, is, and will be again in New York City. Hardcover, 6-in. x 9-in., 368 pages, full color. Teen+ Cover price $30.00.

Vanishing Act HC (2018 Fantagraphics) 1-1ST

    (see more images)

    1st printing.

Story and art by Roman Muradov.

Written and drawn in thirteen styles, from comedy and confession to prophecy and interpretative dance, Vanishing Act is a polyphonic play of interconnected stories, synchronized in time and space on one melancholy evening. A paranoid man rehearses the upcoming party. A disheveled actor expounds on the conceptual potential of sitcoms. A beloved dog disappears into the Internet and starts a cult. A couple runs their argument in reverse. A bored seagull excretes the entire known universe. Vanishing Act is governed by one looping constraint that unifies all of the disparate threads: each following story starts in the middle of the previous one, overlapping until the end of the night, and back into the beginning of the book.

    Hardcover, 7-in. x 9-in., 88 pages, full color.

    Cover price $14.99.
