And also at the museum is Gwen's father...who is in charge of security for the evening. So when the paintings are shockingly stolen, Captain Stacy gets blamed for the theft! Peter knows the trusted police captain would never do that. So who did? Ultimately, the web-slinger remembers the name of the Chameleon...and sets a trap for the master of disguise! However the Chameleon is crafty, and he eludes Spider-Man's trap -- until the faceless villain makes a very big mistake! Cameo appearances by Flash Thompson, Harry Osborn, J. When the web-slinger and Dr. Octopus meet again in a rooftop clash, a crowd gathers below. Tragically, Doc Ock knocks the chimney off the roof...and it falls toward a young boy! However in heroic fashion, Captain Stacy saves the boy, but at a terrible cost to himself. Spider-Man rushes to help Gwen's father, but Captain Stacy's fate has been sealed. A sorrowful ending for all. Cameo appearances by Gwen Stacy and Harry Osborn. (Notes: This Lee-Kane-Romita masterpiece was reprinted in Marvel Tales #71.
