WHAT IF ALL THE LEGENDS ARE TRUE?

Retired monster hunter Bridgette McGuire knows that they are. And when a group of Nationalists uncover the fabled scabbard of Excalibur in order to bring King Arthur back from the dead to reclaim England, she will be the only one who can stop them. In order to do so, she'll need to pull her unsuspecting academic grandson, Duncan, into a deadly world of myth and prophecy.

Their quest will lead them to confront the complicated history of their family, confront the deadly secrets of England's past, and throw the Otherworld into shambles, allowing for new legends and characters to make their appearance--and bring a world of trouble along with them.

Sex and Horror SC (2015-2023 Korero Books) 3-1ST VF 8.0

    Starts Apr 27

Volume 3 - 1st printing. "The Art of Fernando Carcupino!"

This is the third volume in the Sex and Horror series, which celebrates the publishing craze known as "fumetti sexy": Italian adult comics and cartoons with a unique take on such genres as horror, crime, fantasy, history, and fairy tales. Their success was due in part to their uninhibited mix of twisted humor, gory violence, and up-front eroticism, but the element that makes them so collectible today is their technicolor cover illustrations, rendered by classically trained painters.

This book focuses on the work of Fernando Carcupino, famed not just for his comic work but his pinups, as well.

Simpsons Comics and Stories Butterfinger Mini Comic Edition (1993) is a giveaway (despite the $2.50 cover price) variant of the full-size comic, with all the stories and ads that appear in the regular edition. The cool thing about this small-sized No. 1 is that it was found only in packages of Butterfinger candy bars. That's why it's so small. It may have come out BEFORE the actual No. 1 issue hit the stands, which would make this mini comic edition the first appearance of the Simpsons. As with the full-sized edition, stories include "Lo, There Shall Come a Bartman" (co-plot by Cindy Vance, script, layouts, and inks by Steve Vance, inks by Bill Morrison and Mike Anderson), "Bring Me the Head of El Barto" (script and art by Morrison), and "Maggie's Excellent Adventure" (co-story and layouts by Steve Vance, co-story by Cindy Vance, finished art by Ray Supreme). Cover price $2.50.

(W)Alan McElroy Painted by Ashley Wood Last spring, fans got their first taste of superstar illustrator, Ashley Wood's compelling interpretation of Spawn in "Blood and Shadows." Since the publication of the first Spawn Annual, fans have demanded to see more Spawn stories rendered by Ashley Wood, who is arguably the most provocative illustrator working in the comic book medium today. The rich visual possibilities of the bizarre world of Spawn once again come alive in "Blood and Salvation," where Ashley Wood's stunning visuals are combined with writer Alan McElroy's feverish words to bring fans yet another definitive interpretation of Todd McFarlane's original vision for Spawn. "Blood and Salvation" is an ironic, twisted tale of the horrors that befall people of faith on the edge of total destruction. FC, 56pg" Cover price $4.95.
