Stories, art and cover by Harold Knerr. Pioneering comics publisher David McKay's Feature Book was the first US comic book to devote complete issues to a single character. This issue reprinted the long-running comic strip Katzenjammer Kids. The original German Bart Simpson x2, the Kids are up to constant mischief, usually directed against the stern authority figures in their lives: their long-suffering Mama, Der Captain (a stranded sailor and their surrogate father), and the schools envoy, Der Inspector. Each issue includes 64 one-page Katzenjammer Kids stories. 64 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.

Overall, the Model Warplane Series cards were cereal premiums issued as inserts packaged with Kellogg's Pep breakfast cereal. There were four distinct series of 7 cards each. The cards were all die-cut and designed to be punched out and assembled to form model airplanes to be used for aircraft recognition purposes. This card is the NORTH AMERICAN B-25 "MITCHELL". 7-in. x 5-in. 1 sheet B&W with Blue.

Li'l Abner and Daisy Mae Coloring Book (1942), based on the comic strip by Al Capp, was published by The Saalfield Publishing Co. Li'l Abner was the title character in the long-running (1934-1977) syndicated newspaper strip by cartoonist Al Capp. This hulking, naive man-child was the main protagonist for Capp's satiric stories about American life and politics. This coloring book features the adventurous hillbilly and many of his friends and foils. 11-in. x 15-in.

The Little Fir Tree by Hans Christian Andersen (1942) is a Christmas promotional comic that was distributed by W. T. Grant department stores. The most notable feature of this rare comic is that eight pages, reprinted from Santa Claus Funnies, are illustrated by a young Walt Kelly. 12 pages, 8.5-in. x 11-in., some pages full color, others black and white for coloring by children, print on heavy paper stock, no cover price.
