Tip-Topper Comics collected some of United Features Syndicates most popular comic strips of the 1940s in full color, including Lil Abner and Fritzi Ritz. Fritzi was later known as "Aunt Fritzi" in the Nancy comic strip. After slipping on the ice, Phil Fumble gets Fritzi's Christmas presents mixed up. One of the backup strips in the comic is Charles Schulz's Peanuts, then only in its fourth year; several daily strips are presented in full color. US pilots discover an enemy scheme to exchange mineral wealth with Russia in return for munitions. A man discovers a man-eating flower on a desert island and uses it to commit murder. Sue finds an old painting in an antique store that looks eerily like her, and it begins to exert a strange hold over her. A plague of locusts turns out to have alien origins.
