"Drown and Out"; Archie gets a job as a lifeguard; Betty pretends to be drowning in order for Archie to rescue her, but she overdoes the hugging in the water and Archie has to sock her to get them to shore. "Pranks For the Memory"; Jughead gets hit on the head by a baseball and apparently has temporary amnesia. "Change Your Oil!"; Archie asks the pharmacist to fill a prescription; The prescription is mostly castor oil. "Backfield in Emotion"; The girls are upset that the boys signed up for football and won't date them as much. Archie's Pals 'n' Gals Annual ad. "A Shorts Story"; The boys are wearing Bermuda shorts to school, much to Miss Grundy's displeasure. "Snow Use" text story. "Rags to Riches"; Wilbur and Red sneak into the exclusive Westfield Country Club to go swimming on a hot day. "Missile-Man"; Archie makes a homemade boomerang; It almost hits Mr. Lodge, who tries to get rid of it by throwing it away, which doesn't work. "Pair of Spectacles"; Moose has a part in the school play that requires him to have bad eyesight except when wearing glasses; He's having trouble remembering that, so Betty and Veronica tell him to stay in character until the next rehearsal. Archie's Joke Book ad. Archie Club ad. "Dragnut!"; Everywhere he turns, Mr. Weatherbee is faced with students singing the "Grabnet" [Dragnet] theme song or using versions of the show's catch phrases ("Just the facts, ma'am," etc.), which is driving him crazy. 36 pgs., full color. "Smear Campaign"; Betty and Veronica use Reggie as a guinea pig in their efforts to find smear-proof lipstick; When Betty tries to extend the experiment to Archie, Veronica objects. "Christmas Is Christmas" text story. "Test of the Town"; The gang is mad at Miss Grundy for being too strict; Jughead overhears the school superintendent tell Mr. Weatherbee that unless her class does well on the next day's test, Miss Grundy will be fired for not being effective; The gang thinks all they have to do is not study for the test and they will be rid of Miss Grundy. "Gripe Sniper"; Mr. Weatherbee rigs a microphone under the bench where students sit during lunch hour; He hears Archie and Jughead talk about possibly skipping school to go ice-skating the next day. "Secret Sorrow"; Someone sees Archie kiss a girl (not Veronica) at a dance, but Archie doesn't know who it is; When Reggie tells him to guess what he saw at the dance last night, Archie panics and does everything Reggie tells him to do.
