Mr. Bensington and Professor Redwood invented it between them and in their first enthusiasm called it the Food of the Gods. It was in every way a most remarkable substance, for it was to produce a new race of men. Normal people were frightened to discover wasps as big a barn owls, creeping plants as tall as pine trees and rats as big as horses.
