Grey was adopted by a hermit, finally learning who and what he really was, but that hermit was killed by the same bandits who had murdered his parents many years before. Grey exacted revenge, and found his way to America, where under a new identity, and armed with the power of flight, The Black Condor fought crime in an original and exciting manner.
