Volume 2 - 1st printing. Created by Spike Chunsoft. Adapted by Suzuragi Karin. Translated by Jackie McClure. "I guess you could say gaming is my life...or my life is a game." Chiaki Nanami is the Ultimate Gamer, selected as one of Japan's most expert teens to attend the elite Hope's Peak High School. What could be nicer than for the semester to kick off with a class trip to the tropical resort of Jabberwock Island? And what could be more horrific to then be told by the principal that now they're all trapped there...and the only way they can ever leave is to play a murder game! In Volume 2, Nanami witnesses the unexpected power of Monomi against a fearsome guardian Monobeast, freeing the way for the students to access a new island at the tropical Jabberwock resort/prison! The island has a library, a pharmacy, a diner, but strangest of all, it has Hope's Peak Academy itself, mysteriously covered by a growth of trees and vines. Some believe video games cause violence...and Monokuma is out to prove it, as he challenges the class to play a game within their game-Twilight Syndrome, which he claims will reveal their next motive to commit murder. This is just the dare that Chiaki Nanami, the Ultimate Gamer, will take...but she vows that whatever the playthrough, she won't allow another class killing to take place! Softcover, 5-in. x 7-in., 192 pages, B&W. Cover price $13.99.

Plastic Man #2 (originally published in 1944) is one in a series of reprints published in 1975 by comic and toy collector Don Maris. While similar in format to the Flashback reprints published by DynaPubs (Alan Light), the Maris editions reprint different Gold Age issues and represent better reproduction quality. Note: Hit Comics #1, Plastic Man #2, and Silver Streak #6 are the only issues reprinted by both publishers. The Maris and Flashback issues have become very collectible in their own right. They also represent a very inexpensive way for comic readers to read and enjoy comics that typically sell for thousands of dollars. Each Maris edition reproduces the original comic (some ad pages have been replaced with contemporary ads) except that the interior pages are in black-and-white rather than the original color. Cover price $3.00.
