Ixar absorbs the power of all of his Ultroids to give him a huge body to battle the escaped Avengers. With all except Hawkeye and herself defeated, the Black Widow tests her theory that Ixar is linked to the Burgomeister and so threatens to kill him. Reading in a newspaper how the Black Widow has stolen secret plans and escaped to Russia with them, Hawkeye becomes upset and wanders into a trap set by a member of the Mad Thinkers, "Triumvirate of Terror". The rest of the Avengers are quickly beaten by the other members of this trio. This allows the Thinker access to Avengers mansion where he plans to steal all of Tony Starks inventions. The problem is, he did not know Hercules has come to stay at the mansion, and even his trio might not be powerful enough to overcome the demigod.
