2nd Edition - Volume 1 - 1st printing. "The Hard Goodbye!" Collects stories from Dark Horse Presents (1986) #51-62 and Dark Horse Presents Special (1991).
Story and art by Frank Miller.
Legendary artist Frank Miller opened a noir opus in Sin City.
This critically acclaimed triumph - honored by both an Eisner Award and the prestigious National Cartoonists' Award - combines the pulp intensity of writers like Spillane and Cain with the gritty graphic storytelling that only Miller can deliver.
Sin City is the place - tough as leather and dry as tinder. Love is the fuel, and the now-infamous character Marv has the match...not to mention a "condition." He's gunning after Goldie's killer, so it's time to watch this town burn! Sin City was made into a major motion picture in 2005, directed by Miller and Robert Rodriguez (Desperado, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, SpyKids) and features a cast of Hollywood all-stars.

Story and art by Eric Orner.
What are the odds that a disheveled, zaftig, closeted kid with the thickest of Jersey accents might wind up running Boston on behalf of a storied Irish Catholic political machine, drafting the nation's first gay rights laws, reforming Wall Street after the Great Recession, and finding love, after a lifetime assuming that he couldn't and wouldn't?
In Smahtguy: The Life and Times of Barney Frank, America's first out member of Congress and gay and civil rights crusader for an era is confirmed as a hero of our age. This funny, beautifully rendered, warts-and-all graphic account pays tribute to the striving of committed liberals to defend ordinary Americans from an assault on their shared society.

1st printing. A perfect match of form and content, Storeyville was originally published in 1995 as a 40-page tabloid newspaper. Now rare, it was printed in black and white, along with a set of three muted tones ranging from sandy yellow to deep sepia, and it described the arc of a youthful adventure that took its protagonist, Will, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Montreal, Quebec at the opening of the twentieth century. Rendered with humor, pathos and a gentle graphic flair, this story brings Will to terms with himself and his fate. It is a sprawling story that gives Santoro ample opportunity to showcase his love of drawing through dramatic cityscapes, landscapes and seascapes rendered in a unique combination of pencils, inks and grey-scale markers. Hugely influential on the likes of Chris Ware, Seth and many others, this long out-of-print cult work finally gets a proper release with this deluxe new hardcover edition. Hardcover, 54 pages, partial color. Cover price $24.95.

Revised Edition - 1st printing.
Edited by Gary J. & Susan Svehla.
Starting with Edison's 1910 Frankenstein through 2004's Van Helsing, this book stands as a testament to the durability of Mary Shelley's original novel. Whether we look at Frankenstein's Monster as the bogeyman, as metaphor, as kindred spirit, or as society's mirror, the fact remains that Mary Shelley knew not what she wrought during that haunted summer of 1816, and this volume is the latest effort in a relatively short line that tries to explain, looking at both cinema past and present, the meaning of Boris Karloff's immortal words from 1935's Bride of Frankenstein-"We belong dead!"

Benjamin Franklin dies, and that's just the start of his amazing adventure in Welcome to Heaven, Dr. Franklin. Where he expects to find God, he instead finds an ancient Roman emperor, and the crazy conflict that ensues could only spring from the mind of Bill Messner-Loebs. The informed and demented view of history that Messner-Loebs used when writing Epicurus the Sage and Journey first came to light with Welcome to Heaven, Dr. Franklin, which was serialized in Cerebus issues 34 through 38. Messner-Loebs drew the first installment in 1981, making 2006 the 25th anniversary of this work. "This is a story that those of us who were reading Cerebus back then remember fondly, and it was where a lot of us first discovered Bill's work," explains About Comics publisher Nat Gertler, "but while the Cerebus stories from these issues have been reprinted repeatedly, Dr. Franklin never has. It's long since time that this story stopped being hidden in the dusty longboxes of old Cerebus collectors and be brought back out for readers." Some readers know Messner-Loebs primarily as a writer, particularly for his long run on The Flash. Others know him for work like the Dead Detective stories in Wasteland, where he was chosen to draw from someone else's script. For Dr. Franklin, this double-threat talent both wrote and drew the material himself. This new edition sports a brand new cover. "When I first considered publishing other people's work under the About Comics label, Welcome to Heaven, Dr. Franklin was on a short list of books I wanted to produce. When I went back and counted the pages, I realized that it wasn't enough pages for a book - Bill had created this full, rich work in about the length of a single issue. These days, when so many writers are taking six issues to tell a simple story, it's refreshing to be reminded that a graphic novella can be done efficiently without seeming rushed." Welcome to Heaven, Dr. Franklin (ISBN 0-9753958-7-4) is a black-and-white one-shot with color covers, priced at $2.95. The story contains non-erotic nudity, a non-dogmatic view of heaven, and a character named "Sunshine Aquarius". It is not recommended for people who are offended by such things. Cover price $2.95.

1st printing. Written by Jay Neugenboren. Art and cover by Eli Neugenboren. Frankie King was a precocious student and a promising basketball player at Brooklyn's James Madison High School in the early 1950s. Sportswriters were comparing Frankie to the greatest college and professional players of all time, and he was recruited as a starting guard at the University of North Carolina. But Frankie dropped out before playing a single game. This graphic novel follows King's enigmatic life from its auspicious start in the limelight to his very reclusive existence in New York City, where he authored more than forty novels, including a popular series of cozy cat mysteries written under a woman's pseudonym. This is the story of a unique and sometimes troubled life, as well as a meditation on dreams realized, lost, and abandoned. Softcover, 6-in. x 8 1/2-in., 128 pages, full color. Cover price $21.95.
