Volume 1 - 1st printing. "June 1952-March 1953!" Collects Tales of Horror (1952-1954 Toby/Minoan) #1-5. Stories and art by Myron Fass, Bill Molno, Pete Morisi, Ed Smalle, Lawrence Dresser, Alvin Hollingsworth, Mel Keefer, Ben Brown, and Ernie Schroeder. Cover by Moe Marcus. Toby Press was a small but respectable comics publisher, which also used the imprint Minoan; they put out one issue of Tales of Terror, then got hit by a cease-and-desist order from E.C., which used that title for their annuals (don't worry we'll bring you that particular issue later on). Toby dropped that and started over with Tales of Horror, which ran for 13 issues. Toby may be the only comics publisher to swipe the urbane and cynical stories of John Collier, rather than relying on Poe, Lovecraft, and the like. Softcover, 184 pages, full color. Cover price $32.99.

1st printing. Collects Our Brilliant Ruin Horror at Crane Mansion (2025 Dark Horse) #1-3. Written by Cullen Bunn. Art by Christopher Mitten, Piky Hamilton, and Frank Cvetkovic. Cover by Helen Mask. Upstairs-downstairs drama meets existential horror in this Edwardian-inspired comics tale of high society and creeping dread. In a world warped by a strange and corrosive force known as the Ruin, nothing is what it seems, and allies may become abominations in the blink of an eye. In Horror at Crane Mansion, investigator for hire Elizabeth Ranseur finds herself in deep when a simple job vetting a wealthy womans suitors becomes a death trap. Who is a tragic victim, and who is the ruthless hunter? Created in collaboration with Studio Hermitage and in association with the TTRPG of the same name, Our Brilliant Ruin explores a gilded Edwardian setting where intricate social ties of allegiance and conflict are threatened by the presence of the Ruin—a mysterious force that turns creatures and people into horrific monsters. Featuring writing by Cullen Bunn, art by Christopher Mitten, colors by Piky Hamilton, letters by Frank Cvetkovic, and covers by Helen Mask. Hardcover, 80 pages, full color. Rated T+ Cover price $19.99.
