"Trapped Between Two Fires!", art by Russ Heath; Kid Colt is visiting his friend Clay Tindell who shows him the Brain's newly constructed castle; Tindell tells the Kid that the Brain fancies himself some sort of king and has hired on every bloodthirsty gunhawk in the area to be part of his private army; Spotting smoke not far away, Clay and Kid Colt ride out to check it out and catch some of the Brain's men burning down Clay's ranch; The pair gun down the men responsible; Kid Colt decides that it is time to talk to the Brain and rides out to the castle. "The Coward" text story. "King of the Valley"; Nimo is out in the wilderness protecting his domain; His mate Tama and her cubs are attacked by an eagle, but Tama defends her cubs; Tama meanwhile spots a black bear in his territory and battles the creature; This attracts the attention of a ranch owner who witnesses the battle; When Nimo kills the bear, his ranch hand offers to shoot and kill Nimo, but the rancher declines, telling him that Nimo does more to protect his herd than he ever could possibly do. 36 pgs., full color. "The Lost Mine!", art by Dick Ayers; The Rawhide Kid is spying on the Fargo gang through a skylight in an abandoned building but can't make out what they are saying; Getting closer to the skylight causes a piece of broken glass to fall down, alerting them to his presence; The Kid smashes through the skylight; While he manages to shoot the guns out of the outlaws hands, they manage to knock him out and leave the Rawhide Kid tied up. "Showdown!", art by Dick Ayers; The Rawhide Kid and Randy Clayton are out riding on the range they come across a man tied to his horse; Going to his aid, they find that he is still alive and revive him; They learned that he was roughed up by a local gambler named Haskins. "Trapped!", art by Dick Ayers; The Rawhide Kid and Randy Clayton are out riding when they spot the drive team of a wagon running loose, they chase after the horses and get them to stop; They then follow their trail back to the wagon they came from and treat the driver and pull his wagon up right; They learn take him to Fort Slater, where he tells the captain that his escort at Blacksnake Mesa attacked him and robbed him of his supply of weapons. "Teacher's Trail" text story. "The Coward!", script by Stan Lee, pencils by Al Williamson, inks by Gray Morrow. "Gold Strike!", art by Dick Ayers; While riding into town the Rawhide Kid is told by some of Randy's friends that his ward is sick at the doctors; The Kid goes to the doctor and learns that young mister Clayton is sick from eating too much candy; When asking Randy how he got so much candy, Randy reveals that he struck gold and used some of it to buy the candy; Just as Randy is telling the Kid that he found the gold at Snake Creek, the Kid realizes that someone is spying at the window. 36 pgs., full color. Untitled story, art by John Severin; While riding through the desert, the Ringo Kid sees a mirage of his father being attacked by some men, but only realizes that it is an image only after he tries to rescue his father; Knowing that his father is in danger, the Ringo Kid rides out to look for him and eventually ends up in the lawless town of Vista Del Toro. "The Marshal and the Outlaw," art by John Severin; The Ringo Kid is riding along the plains when suddenly a buffalo charges at him; He tries to shoot the beast with his rifle, but it dry fires; Before the outlaw hero can be trampled to death, the buffalo is shot dead by a US Marshal who has come with a warrant from Dry Creek for the Ringo Kid's arrest.
