Volume 1 - 1st printing. Written by John Lewis and Andrew Aydin. Art by Nate Powell. Congressman John Lewis (GA-5) is an American icon, a man who has witnessed history in the making and helped make history himself as one of the key figures of the civil rights movement. His commitment to justice and nonviolence has taken him from an Alabama sharecropper's farm to the halls of Congress, from a segregated schoolroom to the 1963 March on Washington, and from receiving beatings from state troopers to receiving the Medal of Freedom from the first African-American president. Now, to share his remarkable story with new generations, Lewis presents March, a graphic novel trilogy, in collaboration with co-writer Andrew Aydin and artist Nate Powell (winner of the Eisner Award for Swallow Me Whole, NY Times Bestseller for The Silence of Our Friends). March is a vivid first-hand account of John Lewis' lifelong struggle for civil and human rights, meditating in the modern age on the distance traveled since the days of Jim Crow and segregation. Rooted in Lewis' personal story, it also reflects on the highs and lows of the broader civil rights movement. Book One spans John Lewis' youth in rural Alabama, his life-changing meeting with Martin Luther King, Jr., the birth of the Nashville Student Movement, and their battle to tear down segregation through nonviolent lunch counter sit-ins, building to a stunning climax on the steps of City Hall. In March, a true American icon joins with one of America's most acclaimed graphic novelists. Together, they bring to life one of our nation's most historic moments, a period both shameful and inspiring, and a movement whose echoes will be heard for generations. Softcover, 6 1/2-in. x 10-in., 128 pages, B&W. Cover price $14.95.

Volume 1 - 1st printing. "The Crabby Condition!" Story and art by Arthur de. WHY WE LOVE IT: At Archaia, we love bringing great comics from all over the world to English-speaking audiences, stories they would never get to see otherwise (see The Killer, Okko, Toppi's The Collector, and others). When we read French title March of the Crabs by animator Arthur De Pins, we knew right away we had to add it to our list!WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT: Arthur De Pins' art style is a slick, fun tribute to Art Deco, something rarely seen in comics. The story of a hapless species of crab is an endearing look at one of nature's cruel jokes, but made light by a humorous presentation with likable characters, reminiscent of films like Ice Age and Finding Nemo. WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT: For centuries, the square crab has only been able to move side-to-side in one direction. But some brave crabs decide it's time for revolution! A few of the brave crustaceans in an estuary on the French coastline decide it's time to try and actually turn for once, but what does their evolution revolution mean for the human race? Hardcover, 112 pages, full color. Cover price $19.99.

1st printing. Collects March GN (2013-2016 IDW/Top Shelf) Vol. 1-3. Written by John Lewis and Andrew Aydin. Art and cover by Nate Powell. Discover the award-winning #1 New York Times bestseller that brings the Civil Rights Movement to life — the stunning graphic memoir of the man called the conscience of America. Congressman John Lewis (GA-5) was an American icon who repeatedly made history as one of the key figures of the Civil Rights Movement. His commitment to justice and nonviolence brought him from an Alabama sharecroppers farm to the halls of Congress, from a segregated schoolroom to the 1963 March on Washington, and from receiving beatings from state troopers to receiving the Medal of Freedom from the first African-American president. To share his remarkable story with new generations, Lewis turned to the graphic novel format, in collaboration with co-writer Andrew Aydin and artist Nate Powell, and inspired by a 1950s comic book that helped prepare his own generation to join the struggle. The resulting trilogy, March, became a groundbreaking and definitive work of graphic memoir — a perennial bestseller, a vital resource in classrooms across America, the recipient of countless honors, and the first comic to win the National Book Award. Today, March continues to animate the lessons of history with vivid life for new generations, powerfully and urgently relevant for our world. It is a vivid first-hand account of John Lewis lifelong struggle for civil and human rights, meditating in the modern age on the distance traveled since the days of Jim Crow and segregation. Rooted in Lewis personal story, it also reflects on the highs and lows of the broader Civil Rights Movement, with a particular focus on young adults. Through an unforgettable literary and artistic narrative, March portrays the surpassing courage, sacrifice, and revolutionary nonviolence that transformed American society in the 1960s, guided by principles and tactics that remain vitally relevant in the present day. This new single-volume edition features a detailed index. Softcover, 6-in. x 9-in., 588 pages, B&W. Cover price $22.99.

    (see more images)

    1st printing. Collects Laura (2021 Ablaze) Guillem March's #1-3.

Story and art by Guillem March. Translated by David Soto Brown.

Before his work on Batman and the hit Joker series, before he created Karmen, there was the heartfelt story of Laura, the book that led Guillem March to the mainstream comics world!

Suffering from the ever-painful experience of unrequited love, twenty-year-old Laura takes a look at her life. Does the fact that the boy she has feelings for is in love with someone else mean there is something wrong with her? Or is that just how young love goes? And what will happen when she tries to get past the hurt and move on with her life?

Laura is an exploration into the mind of a young woman who has experienced something most people have, but in an honest and beautiful way that only Guillem March can bring us.

Other stories in the book include Irene, which explores the nature of inspiration and creating art outside of one's comfort zone, thanks to some advice from a role model and a cameo by Guillem himself. And in Muse, an artist's search for a model puts how a young woman is perceived by her male roommates into perspective.

Includes bonus material, cover gallery, and more in this hardcover collection.

By Xenophon. Translated by H. G. Dakyns.

Xenophon's Anabasis is a classic tale of high adventure.

An army of 10,000 Greek warriors, far from home, find themselves in hostile territory, vastly outnumbered and in great peril. Their leader, Cyrus the Great, has been killed in battle along with a number of their other generals. They must undertake an unparalleled arduous trek and make a heroic fighting retreat to save themselves from certain death.

This true story, told by the man who became one of the leaders of the valiant band of warriors, was the stuff of legend. It is ingrained in the history of the Greeks as a cherished tale of overcoming hardship with courage and nearly superhuman endurance. Even Alexander the Great was said to have kept a copy of this book and to have often referred to it for inspiration. Told in the third person, as were Caesar's Commentaries, the style is simple, direct and unpretentious. Students of Greek Culture often find it a pleasure to read because of its uncomplicated style of writing in addition to being exciting story that accurately describes real people, places and times.

This translation, by Professor H. G. Dakyns, retains the flavor of the original and includes embedded explanatory notes to help clarify references and unfamiliar geography.

    Softcover, 6-in. x 9-in., 228 pages, Text Only.

NOTE: "This ancient tale served as the inspiration for author Sol Yurick for his groundbreaking 1965 novel THE WARRIORS which in turn inspired the cult classic 1979 film of the same name." - Odinson, Lone Star Comics Archivist

1st printing. Hardcover, 6 1/2-in. x 10-in., 128 pages, B&W.

Hardcover, 6-in. x 9-in., 588 pages, B&W. Cover price $39.99.
