The top secret prequel to the next Tom Cruise blockbuster! Featuring a short tale illustrated by Rob Liefeld, plus a special untold tale that precedes the May 1996, $70 million hit film! Written by Marv Wolfman. Art by Rob Liefeld, Pino Rinaldi, Rod Whigham, Andrew Wildman, Jim Amash, Bob Almond, Phil Moy, Scott Reed and Tom Wegrzyn. Cover by Rob Liefeld. 48 pages. Cover price $2.95.

Direct Edition. ORIGINAL UNEDITED EDITION: Rare! Only a few copies exist, the rest having been destroyed by the publisher. When Paramount and Marvel Comics teamed up for this one-shot Mission Impossible comic book based on the 1996 film (starring Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt), Marvel did not have the rights to use Tom Cruise's likeness, so they depicted Ethan Hunt as an average brunette action hero. After the issue was finished and had gone to press, Tom Cruise read his advance copy and expressed concern that Ethan looked too feminine in a panel on page three. As a consequence, Marvel ordered the printing destroyed, but as is often the case, a few copies survived. Except for the two panels previously cited, "B" copies will be identical to the 2nd printing "A" copies (see A and B page 3 comparisons). Cover price $2.95.

Things seem weird, even by Deadpool's standards, when Matt "Daredevil" Murdock offers him a profitable - nay, straightforward! - contract. No chaos, no unpredictability, no funny business... C'mon, Murdock, that's just not Deadpool's style. Sensing something is up, Deadpool grabs an innocent bystander off the street to confuse any semblance of predictability the universe is trying to force on him. Good-hearted mischief spirals into a sinister plot full of impenetrable bank vaults, crime lords stroking their (lack of) mustaches in very evil ways, and an assortment of offensively stylish suits that are begging to be blown up, Deadpool discovers his choices are no longer his own - they're yours!

Softcover, 5-in.x 8-in., 352 pages, Text (with B&W Illustrations).
