Reprint of Phantom Detective Vol. 23 #3 - July 1938. Featuring "Yellow Shadows of Death" by Robert Wallace. In the 1990s, Greek pulp fan Dimitri "Jim" Hanos published an assortment of pulp reprints in a small format with color covers, sometimes as the Athenian Readers Club. These were released with print runs of 200 or less and many made it to America. This is reprinted using the original pulp pages and therefore has very small type because of the reduced format. 4 3/4-in. x 7-in., 84 pages, black and white.

This Phantom Detective bound volume collects six complete issues (January to June, 1938) of the long-running pulp magazine. Due to the binding process, the interior magazines were trimmed, and the top layer of the spines were removed. For further information on condition, please see our grading notes. Hardbound, 7" x 9-1/2".
