Wanda marries Hubert for his money and betrays him with the chauffeur. When Hubert finds out, he locks her in an ice-cold vault and lets her freeze to death. Just like all the other women who had only married him for his money in "Frigid Fear!" All the way to the end of the run for Haunted Thrills with issue #18-"No Place to Go" where Wilbur Cummings, a mild-mannered and harmless man, dies after falling down the stair. Preferring to work with pen and ink, Wolverton's lack of artistic schooling gave his drawings an otherworldly appearance. There was no other artist at the time who drew like him!
