Hi Buddy, the first Golden Age collection I ever bought was about a hundred books of all types back around 1966. I got some stunning Walt Disney's Comic and Stories from about #12-29. I have loved those WWII era WDC&S ever since. Was therefore thrilled to get three of the WWII era WDC&S from your auction that closed last Monday! They are in transit and should arrive Tuesday or so.

Good afternoon Buddy, Received your check in yesterday's mail. Many thanks for your prompt (and fair) attention to my Classics Illustrated collection. As I told you in our phone conversation, I began my collection in 1943 seventy-five years ago. I was ten/eleven, and I cherished those stories for a large portion of my boyhood. I can only wish that whoever gets them next will enjoy them as much as I did. I've been a reader all my life, and the "comic" classics were the beginning. And not only for me. My children (two boys, two girls), the youngest being 55 now, also enjoyed them. My only disappointment on this score was that they didn't want what I would have gladly given them for free. It seems that the current generation (five grandchildren) prefer electronic entertainment. Their loss. Best wishes.
