Written by Kevin J. Anderson. Art by Dario Carrasco, Jr., Mark G. Heike, Bill Black and David Jacob Beckett. Cover by Russell Walks. Gav and Jori Daragon knew they could be killed in their chosen line of work -- mapping out uncharted hyperspace flight paths could easily result in a deadly meeting with an unexpected meteorite shower or an unknown world. But it's neither comets nor planets that threaten them now. Rather, it's their success that may cost them their lives. They've successfully mapped a hyperspace shortcut -- a shortcut which could prove strategically imperative in the event of war. And war is just what Gav and Jori have found themselves in the middle of. Trapped between two factions of the Sith, each vying for control of the galaxy, this sibling duo of hyperspace pioneers has become a pawn to the dark side of Sith magic. 32 pages, FC. Volume 5 - 1st printing. Written by Will Eisner. Art by Will Eisner and Lou Fine. Cover by Will Eisner. From 1940-1950, printer Everett M. "Busy" Arnold reprinted Spirit stories under his Quality Comics banner, first individually from 1940-1947 as one of the features in 92 issues of Police Comics and from 1944-1950 as 22 issues of The Spirit. The Spirit is a fictional masked crime fighter created by cartoonist Will Eisner, who fights crime with the blessing of the city's police commissioner Dolan, an old friend. Despite the Spirit's origin as detective/criminologist Denny Colt, his real identity was rarely referred to after his first appearance, and for all intents and purposes he was simply "The Spirit." The stories are presented in a wide variety of styles, from straight forward crime drama and noir to lighthearted adventure, from mystery and horror to comedy and love stories, often with hybrid elements that twisted genre and reader expectations.
