1st printing. Story and art by Jonah Newman. A nerdy gay teenager jumps headfirst into the bro-y world of high school baseball in this semi-autobiographical LGBTQ+ graphic novel. Ninth-grader Jonah is not a jock. On the contrary, he loves history class and nerdy movies, and his athletic ineptitude verges on tragic. So, what's he doing signing up for the baseball team? Could it have something to do with the cute shortstop, Elliot? For the rest of high school, Jonah faces challenges on and off the baseball field, from heteronormative social pressure to thrilling romance. Realizing who his real friends are, he figures out what really matters and finally recognizes and embraces his gay identity. Based on debut author-illustrator Jonah Newman's coming-of-age experiences, Out of Left Field is a big-hearted and funny YA graphic novel about learning to be yourself. Hardcover, 6-in. x 9-in., 304 pages, full color. Cover price $21.99.

    1st printing.

Story and art by Yuichi Yokoyama.

Yokoyama Yuichi, critically acclaimed for his gekiga ('dramatic pictures') comics furtherpushes the boundaries of what comics can do with Outdoors. The acclaimed artist has a clear fixation with sound and time and an unbelievable eye for bringing such abstract concepts to life in panel form. Yokoyama uncannily shows the passing of time, suggesting that we should simply see things without labelling them. If he were a musician, he would be John Cage.

Softcover (with Dust Jacket), 6-in. x 8-in., 128 pages, full color.

    Cover price $22.50.

Story and Art by Seth. Simon Matchcard haunts the upper stories of his family's failing business, caring for his mentally ailing mother and refining a "special brand of loneliness...something so long and so wide that it ceases to be defined as merely loneliness." His solitude and melancholia develop into hallucinations in which he inhabits a past constructed of his own memories and a desperate nostalgia for a time that never was, in which he imagines his mother as a vibrant young woman. Simon struggles to fabricate a fulfilling past for his mother to atone for being bullied by his overbearing brother into committing her to a rest home. 24 pages, four-color. Mature Readers. Volume 21 - 1st printing. By Seth. Continuing the new semiannual hardcover format for Palookaville in Volume 21, Seth presents two very different autobiographical pieces, and the continuation of Part Four of the ongoing Clyde Fans serial. In the latest dispatch from the beautifully crafted Clyde Fans, Abraham muses further on the ruins of his life. Then, in the first sustained sequence of the two Matchcard brothers, Abraham and Simon finally sit down together and begin to talk. "Nothing Lasts" is the first half of a sketchbook memoir about Seth's childhood and adolescence in small-town Ontario. It is a wryly self-conscious, often moving visit to the attic of Seth's memories: from his first attempts at cartooning to the last time he kissed his mother good night, "Nothing Lasts" is a masterpiece of the graphic short story. Finally, the third section of this volume consists of entries from the comic-strip diary Seth has been keeping for almost a decade. He employs a mixture of hand-drawn panels and rubber stamps of his own work to tell anecdotes about moments from his life. Nothing from this diary has ever been made public before. This lushly designed collection of stories comprises an anthology of the different types of cartooning work Seth has done over his two-decade-long career. Hardcover, 6 1/2-in. x 8 1/2-in., 88 pages, PC/PB&W. NOTE: For Vol. 1-19 see Palooka Ville (1991). Cover price $21.95.

Volume 22 - 1st printing. By Seth. This installment of Seth's critically acclaimed one-man anthology features an autobiographical comic about Seth's childhood, part four of his long-running Clyde Fans serial, a photo essay about a barbershop he designed, and a comic strip about the art of barbering. "Nothing Lasts" revisits Seth's childhood in 1960s Ontario, with a special focus on the salvation that he found in library books and drug-store comics. The Clyde Fans chapter included here shows the conclusion of brothers Abe and Simon Matchcard's first lengthy conversation, and Abe's pensive, self-questioning mood as he drives back to Dominion to meet up with his old flame, Alice. Hardcover, 6 1/2-in. x 8 1/2-in., 120 pages, PC/PB&W. NOTE: For Vol. 1-19 see Palooka Ville (1991). Cover price $22.95.

Volume 23 - 1st printing. By Seth. Palookaville 23 marks the culmination of twenty years of serialization: here, Clyde Fans comes to a conclusion. In this final chapter, we return to Simon Matchcard and the year 1957, exactly where we left off at the end of the first Clyde Fans volume. After his disastrous attempt at sales in the city of Dominion, we witness the out of body experience and ecstatic "vision" that sets Simon on his path of lonely isolation in the years to come. But of course that's not all; the next installment in Seth's memoir, Nothing Lasts, follows him from late childhood to his high school years, from innocent crushes to adolescent brooding, all told with what has become Seth's signature anecdotal approach to autobiography. Hardcover, 6 1/2-in. x 8 1/2-in., 88 pages, PC/PB&W. NOTE: For Vol. 1-19 see Palooka Ville (1991). Cover price $22.95.
