Straight from the Eisner-Iger Studios comes Jumbo Comics #41, with more action, adventure, and mystery than you can shake at a charging elephant. Bondage cover by Eisner-Iger Studio alum Dan Zolnerowich (signed as Zolne Rowich). Sheena, Queen of the Jungle, stars in an untitled story with art by Robert Webb, and story by one "W. Morgan Thomas" (W. Morgan Thomas was a shared pen name used by Will Eisner and Jerry Iger at the time. In fact, the Eisner-Iger Studios were notorious for using pen names to give the impression that they had a larger staff than they actually did -- see below for some of the fanciful pen names used in these stories). Other stories include "Stuart Taylor," script by Curt Davis (a pseudonym both Jack Kirby and Lou Fine used in those days), and art by Jack Ames (according to Grand Comics Database). "Midnight, the Wild Black Stallion" (script by West Erner - get it? - art by Alex Blum, according to GCD); super-hero Lightning makes his final appearance in an untitled story with art by Webb and story signed as Teller Tayles; "Inspector Dayton" (signed as by George Thatcher, art by Rafael Astarita); "ZX-5 Spies In Action" (signed as by Major Thorpe, art by Mort Leav); "Tom Dick and Harry" (signed as by Charles Tansul, art by Blum); and "The Hawk" (signed as by Willis Rensie - that's Eisner spelled backwards, just in case you didn't catch it - with art by Eisner and others from the Eisner-Iger Studio. According to Grand Comics Database, this story is made up of tracings, copied and collaged from previous "Hawks of the Seas" strips.) This issue also features four one page fillers, "Bobby," signed by Iger; "Jumbo Laffs," signed as I.M. Leffin; "Uncle Otto" (signed as Heck, according to GCD, this is by Eisner); "Pee Wee" (signed by Iger); and a two page text story, "Strange Glory." Cover price $0.10.
