1st printing. Story and art by Sasaki Maki. Finally! A new edition of the long-out of print Ding Dong Cicus. This collection re-presents, for the first time in English, the best of Sasaki Makiâ's work, mainly from alt-manga super magazine Garo. Drawn between 1967 and 1974, the fifteen stories here follow Sasakiâ's groundbreaking exploration of collage methods in comics storytelling, weaving through references to R&B, rock ‘n†roll, the Vietnam War, Andy Warhol, the Summer of Love, the Beatles, British humour, and the wacky world of Japanese consumerism. Ding Dong Circus demonstrates what manga fans already knew: that in Sasaki Maki, Japan can claim not only a pioneer in experimental comics, but one of the worldâ's masters of Pop Art and a trenchant avant-garde critic of the Sixties. Published by Breakdown Press. Softcover, 6-in.x 8-in., 256 pages, B&W. Cover price $27.99.

Police Comics #1 (originally published in August 1941) is one in a series of reprints published in 1975 by comic and toy collector Don Maris. While similar in format to the Flashback reprints published by DynaPubs (Alan Light), the Maris editions reprint different Gold Age issues and represent better reproduction quality. Note: Hit Comics #1, Plastic Man #2, and Silver Streak #6 are the only issues reprinted by both publishers. The Maris and Flashback issues have become very collectible in their own right. They also represent a very inexpensive way for comic readers to read and enjoy comics that typically sell for thousands of dollars. Each Maris edition reproduces the original comic (some ad pages have been replaced with contemporary ads) except that the interior pages are in black-and-white rather than the original color. Cover price $3.00.

1st printing. Written by Nicholas Tana. Art by Kyle Faehnrich. Cover by Darick Robertson. In the year 2055, technology has transformed the human experience, using Nerve Reading Devices (N.R.D.s) to share dreams and Emo-Regs to filter and regulate emotions, leading pain and suffering to become commodities in a world that has made them virtually illegal. But a growing group of addicts, called eJunkies, continue to seek every kind of human experience by using drugs containing other peoples memories, including painful ones, in the form of an alternative drug (ALT) known as Torch. When Hector Holmes, a disgraced investigator and eJunky, nearly overdoses on Torch, his previous partner from the Alternative Reality Investigation Squad (A.R.I.S.) requests his help to stop The Guardians of Pain—a terrorist group distributing Torch to "wake" people to a painful and buried past in an effort to start a revolution. Hector enlists Astra, a dream celebrity whose television channel is hacked by the Guardians to promote their revolutionary message. Astras celebrity status gives Hector access to every level of society, helping him get close to the cult groups leader, a mysterious figure known as X. With Astras help, Hector scours the city and his own mind in pursuit of the Guardians, hoping to find some clues in the memory experiences they sell on the black market. But dosing these experiences comes with a price, and after several doses of Torch Hectors reality blurs, pulling people from his life into his Torch-induced visions. As Hectors mind unravels, he must confront a forgotten and painful past to stop a horrific future. Softcover, 256 pages, full color. Cover price $29.99.
