Volume 7 - 1st printing. "1952-1953!" Collects Frankenstein Comics (1945-1954) #22-27. Written by Roy Thomas and Dick Briefe. Art and cover by Dick Briefer. Dick Briefer's Frankenstein is widely regarded as being America's first ongoing horror series. Indeed, it was Briefer's work that probably caused the creature to be actually named as Frankenstein instead of the nameless monstrosity from Shelley's novel. Splitting the stories between two stools-humor and horror-Briefer's tales are absorbing and unsettling in equal parts. Some of the humorous material has already been reprinted, though not necessarily in order nor in total. Until now! Hardcover, 200 pages, full color. Cover price $47.99.

Volume 7-8 - 1st printing. Story and art by Katsuhisa Kigitsu. Translated by Jocelyne Allen. Adapted by Shanti Whitesides. Starting with the bolts that protrude from her head, Fran isn't exactly what you would call a normal girl, nor is the cast of horribly disfigured creatures who join her. Despite her Frankenstein-like ways, Fran cares deeply for her patients and holds steadfastly to the Hippocratic Oath. Her creed is: "All lives must be saved, no matter the cost!" For Franken Fran, the ends always justify the means, no matter what ungodly creations emerge from her lab. Collects volumes 7 and 8 of the original serialization. Softcover, 5-in. x 7-in., 414 pages, B&W. Older Teen 16+ Cover price $19.99.

Story and art by Frank Miller.

In the Town Without Pity, good men are hard to find.

Enter Wallace, a man of mystery. He's a nice guy who's very good at killing people. Out for an evening drive along the beach, he meets the woman of his dreams - and she's trying to kill herself. Why? And who are the shadowy cabal of power brokers who wrench her from his arms? When will all hell break loose? Comics legend Frank Miller, creator of the groundbreaking Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, pounds out his longest Sin City graphic novel to date - a bare-knuckle barrage of brutal action, dark secrets, and heroic sacrifice. What the hell - it's a love story! The most recent story in Miller's gritty crime saga, Hell and Back includes color sections and pinups by a who's who of comics luminaries.

This brand-new edition features a fantastic pinup gallery with the likes of Geof Darrow, Gary Gianni, Jason Pearson, Matt Wagner, and more - including colorist Lynn Varley's first comics illustration!
