Air Fighters #2 (Originally published in November 1942. Has origin and first appearance of Airboy) is one in a series of reprints published in 1975 by comic and toy collector Don Maris. While similar in format to the Flashback reprints published by DynaPubs (Alan Light), the Maris editions reprint different Gold Age issues and represent better reproduction quality. Note: Hit Comics #1, Plastic Man #2, and Silver Streak #6 are the only issues reprinted by both publishers. The Maris and Flashback issues have become very collectible in their own right. They also represent a very inexpensive way for comic readers to read and enjoy comics that typically sell for thousands of dollars. This Maris edition reproduces the complete original comic including ad pages, but all interior pages are in black-and-white rather than the original color. Cover price $3.00.

Volume 2 - 1st printing. Based on THE GHOST IN THE SHELL by Shirow Masamune. Written by Junichi Fujisaku. Art and cover by Yuki Yoshimoto. Translated by Stephen Kohler. Hackers attempt to assassinate a politician during a speech preaching the advantages of cybernetic prosthetics. Fortunately, Togusa is there to whisk her to safety, and the investigation leads Batou to a suspicious factory in the artificial islands in southern Japan. Meanwhile, Chief Aramaki hears of a disturbing discovery at the other end of the country: dozens of artificial bodies, illegally dumped near a village where an anti-cyberization sect conducts their training and "rites." Among the empty shells is one formerly inhabited by the woman who embodied Section 9 until she left it behind and disappeared: Major Motoko Kusanagi. Softcover, 5-in. x 7-in., 256 pages, B&W. Older Teen (16+) Cover price $12.99.
