1st printing. Written by Frank Reilly. Art by Floyd Gottfredson, Manuel Gonzales, Floyd Norman and John Ushler. A delightful book for Disney fans of all ages. The Disney Christmas newspaper strip debuted in 1960 with "Peter Pan's Christmas Story," in which Captain Hook tries to sabotage Christmas. It was such a success that new stories were created yearly, each self-contained, each featuring characters from another animated movie, and each leading up to Christmas Eve and Santa off to deliver his presents. The "Disney-villain-wants-to-spoil-Christmas" plot was exploited with inventive variations each year. Stories include "Cruella's Very Furry Christmas," "Snow White's Christmas Surprise," "Dumbo and the Christmas Mystery," "Cinderella's Christmas Party," "The Three Little Pigs' Christmas Story," and many more. All 28 special holiday stories are collected in a book for the first time. Hardcover (Horizontal Format), 11-in. x 9-in., 228 pages, full color. Cover price $39.99.

Story and art by Carl Barks.
THE VERY FIRST SCROOGE STORY... PLUS WEST INDIAN, AUSTRALIAN AND VOLCANIAN ADVENTURES.
Scrooge McDuck is now such a fixture in the Disney universe that few remember Carl Barks had been writing and drawing Donald Duck stories for half a decade before he cooked up the miserly multiplujillionaire - for what he thought would be a one-time Christmas yarn involving Donald, the nephews, Scrooge in a bearskin, and (inevitably) a couple of real bears.
"Christmas on Bear Mountain" is one of Barks's funniest holiday stories and a true landmark in comics history, and offers a fascinating look at a roughedged, genuinely nasty character whom Barks would soon soften...Scrooge aside, there's plenty of fun to be had in this volume.
In "Volcano Valley" Donald and the Nephews end up stuck in Volcania, a south-of-the-border country inhabited by sombrero-wearing, siesta-addicted Volcanians. Other long-form adventures include the self-explanatory "Adventure Down Under," as well as one of Barks's most atmospheric thrillers, the West Indies-based "Ghost of the Grotto," which includes a lovely night-time sequence drawn in Barks's trademark silhouettes and a giant-octopus-vs.-hot-chili-peppers throwdown that climaxes in an explosive splash panel.
The book is rounded off with seven of Barks's hilarious 10-pagers, and as with the previous volumes, Walt Disney's Donald Duck: Christmas on Bear Mountain has been scanned from crisp vintage art and meticulously colored to match the original printing's warm, simple hues, and features abundant critical and historical notes penned by some of duckdom's finest experts.
Hardcover, 240 pages, full color.

1st printing. Story and art by Sarah Mai. A stylish graphic novel about the unique angst, humor, and self-doubt universal to the experience of going away to college-from a promising debut talent-for fans of Heartstopper. Everyone gets a fresh start. Who do you want to be? Sarah is leaving suburban Wisconsin for her freshman year in Minnesota. She has high hopes for the future: impress her professors, meet interesting new people, stay close to her best friends and boyfriend back home, flourish as an artist, and shed her lingering high school anxieties. What seems manageable at first quickly unravels into a tailspin: Sarah's high-achieving roommate puts her to shame, her summer love dissolves, and she is quickly overwhelmed by the freedom, the isolation, and all the possibilities that await in this new environment. Based on the author's personal college journal and comics, Freshman Year navigates the inner workings of an 18-year-old girl in witty, honest, and heartfelt detail. Hardcover, 6-in. x 8 1/2-in., 288 pages, PC. Cover price $24.99.

1st printing. Story by Agatha Christie. Adapted and illustrated by Chandre. To help make this year's halloween a night to remember, Mrs Drake throws a party for all the youngsters in the village. But one hostile teenager gets so caught up in the theme of the evening that she claims to have witnessed a murder. Nobody takes her seriously, of course, until the girl is silenced - permanently. Why would anyone want to eliminate such a young witness? Unless it was to hide an even more terrible crime? Halloween Party, an investigation for Hercule Poirot written in 1969, includes the appearance of his apple-munching sidekick, the crime writer Mrs Ariadne Oliver, and is brought to life by Chandre, who has also adapted Ordeal by Innocence and Murder in Mesopotamia for this series. By Mike Taylor.
"Ok, here I go. Remember to steer into it - Don't take your mind off it, get comfortable in your discomfort - Your body isn't trying to kill you - Panic attacks aren't actually dangerous - your heart will beat totally normally soon..."
Thus begins Mike Taylor's raw and beautiful soul cry for America, as a modern-day Virgil in a hoody traverses the gasping and confusing psychological landscape of right now. In this inclusive and experiential journey, Taylor's ecstatic mark making comes together to form a transcendental bridge that guides the reader to a more elemental place - not unlike paradise.
