By Jill Lepore.
Wonder Woman, created in 1941, is the most popular female superhero of all time.
Aside from Superman and Batman, no superhero has lasted as long or commanded so vast and wildly passionate a following. In the more than seven decades since she first appeared, her comic books have never been out of print. In years of interviews and archival research, Harvard historian and New Yorker staff writer Jill Lepore has uncovered an astonishing trove of documents, including the never-before-seen private papers of William Moulton Marston, Wonder Woman's creator. The Secret History of Wonder Woman reveals that Wonder Woman is the missing link in the history of the struggle for women's rights.

Wonder Woman and the Star Riders vs. Purrsia, Kellogg's Cinnamon Mini Buns mini comic (measuring 2-3/4 x 4-1/4 inches) was the only promotional item ever released based on the never-seen Wonder Woman cartoon series. This series was to have run on the heels of shows like She-Ra. The mini-comic was released in some areas in 1993 with Kellogg's Cinammon Mini Buns cereal. Note that Wonder Woman has a different costume and several companions, the Star Riders--Ice, Dolphin, Starlily and Solara. Dolphin and Ice come from the DC comics universe. The storyline involves WW and her friends retrieving stolen gems from the villianess Purrsia. More fantasy than superhero fare. A rare mini comic and an excellent, unusual piece of Wonder Woman memorabilia. There are three other comics in the Cinnamon Mini Buns giveaway series: Flash vs. Dr. Polaris, Justice League of America vs. Amazo, and Superman vs. Metallo. These were mailed in a flat, white envelope with a thank-you card. No artist or writer listed.

Story and art by Jill Thompson.
WONDER WOMAN: THE TRUE AMAZON is Jill Thompson's original graphic novel reimagining of the early years of the Amazon Princess Diana, who would grow up to become Wonder Woman. This fully painted graphic novel is unlike any Wonder Woman tale you have ever read, told as only Eisner Award- winning writer/artist Thompson could.
When young Diana has the fawning attention of a nation, she grows spoiled. But a series of tragic events take their toll, and Diana must learn to grow up, take responsibility, and seize her destiny. Steeped in the mythology of this iconic character's original conception, WONDER WOMAN: THE TRUE AMAZON is designed to appeal to a wide range of readers. It's a fresh, stand-alone interpretation of the most famous and iconic female superhero of all time and the fulfillment of a dream project by one of contemporary comics' most acclaimed creators.

Every Batman story is marked with the words "Batman created by Bob Kane." But that isn't the whole truth.
A struggling writer named Bill Finger was involved from the beginning. Bill helped invent Batman, from concept to costume to character. He dreamed up Batman's haunting origins and his colorful nemeses. Despite his brilliance, Bill worked in obscurity. Based on original research, Bill the Boy Wonder is the first-ever book about the unsung man behind the Dark Knight.
