The Gold Seal Novel was a tabloid-sized weekly supplement of the Philadelphia Inquirer issued with the Sunday edition of the newspaper. Between 1934 and 1949, they published almost 400 of these novels.

Picture Play Magazine, originally titled Picture-Play Weekly was an American weekly published magazine centered around the movie industry during the golden-age of Hollywood. It was one of the earliest published tabloid style magazines that focused on celebrity gossip, but also included behind-the-scenes content, and movie reviews. It was first published on April 10, 1915, and ultimately transitioned from a weekly to a monthly publication before the end of it's production run in late 1941 after merging with Charm Magazine. Cover price $0.25.
