The Flash comic books issue 1

"Flash Gordon in Time Out" - This item is an 8-Pager, commonly known as a Tijuana Bible; most were published ca. 1920s-1940s. The artists, writers, and publishers of these booklets are generally unknown. Most 8-Pagers are humorous takes on newspaper comic strip characters, movie stars, and political figures of the time, usually in sexually explicit situations, and invariably produced without permission or respect for copyright. These are timeless pieces of American comic sub-culture and are often considered the precursor to the underground comics created by the likes of Robert Crumb and Gilbert Shelton. Due to the circumstances in which these items were originally created, it is virtually impossible to determine edition and printing, although modern era reprints are usually easily identifiable. Krazy Little Comics (1967 Topps): The Flush is one of sixteen parody mini-comics originally produced as test market items in 1967, by the Topps Chewing Gum Company. They did not see full national distribution. All were written by Roy Thomas and feature Wally Wood cover and interior art. These minis spoof not only Marvel and DC super-heroes, but other comic characters as well, like the Phantom, Prince Valiant, and Tarzan. These possibly predate, or are at least contemporaneous with, Not Brand Ecch! #1 (08/1967), and are among the rarest of the Merry Marvel Marching Society era items.
