The action begins with a feature-length tale starring Spider-Man's alien costume and guest-starring the Sandman! Peter Parker would love nothing more than to get a good night's sleep, but his sleek, symbiotic suit has plans of its own...and no one is gonna get in its way! Next, Venom is back in town, and he's on a rampage...but it has nothing to do with his vendetta against Spidey? What could be so important that Venom doesn't have the time to torture his nemesis? Peter Parker is determined to find out, but first he'll have to match journalistic wits with none other than Eddie Brock! And finally, remember back in the day, when super heroes would fight other super heroes? What? That still happens? Civil...what? Well, ANYway...we're taking you back in time, when Spidey was pretty new at all this super hero stuff, and would make silly mistakes, like, oh, say...knocking out the Invisible Girl! I think her friends might want to have a talk with the web-crawler. Plus: backup stories featuring the Lizard and TWO Scorpions!

This enjoyable volume collects all of Crankshaft's baseball-themed exploits. Strike Four! 1st printing. Written by Wilfrid Lupano. Art and cover by Stephane Fert. In 1832, in Canterbury, Connecticut, a "charming and picturesque" little school for young girls opens to accommodate around twenty residents. Educating girls is a bit ridiculous and useless, they think in the area, but harmless enough. Until the day when the "charming school," led by Prudence Crandall, announces that it will now welcome Black girls.... Thirty years before the abolition of slavery, some fifteen young people in the Crandall school are greeted by a wave of hostility of insane proportion. White America is afraid of some of its children. The story of this school and its legal legacy for civil rights cannot be understated. Crandall v. State (of Connecticut) was the first full-throated civil rights case in U.S. history. The arguments by attorneys in the Crandall case played a role in two of the most fateful Supreme Court decisions, Dred Scott v. Sandford, and the landmark case of Brown v. Board of Education. It catapulted Ms. Crandall into a Civil Rights pioneer. Hardcover, 8-in. x 11-in., 144 pages, full color. Cover price $24.99.

Written by Guillermo Corral . Art and cover by Paco Roca. Translated by Andrea Rosenberg.
Based on real events, this thrilling graphic novel chronicles the intense legal and political battles sparked by the discovery of a priceless shipwreck.
May 2007.
When an American treasure-hunting company uncovers a shipwreck containing the greatest underwater trove ever found, the world is captivated by their discovery. But over in Spain, a group of lowlevel government officials surmises that the sunken ship is in fact an ancient Spanish vessel. Thus begins a legal and political thriller, pitting a group of idealistic diplomats against a rich and powerfully connected treasure hunter, in which vital cultural artifacts and hundreds of millions of dollars hang in the balance.
Cartoonist Paco Roca and writer Guillermo Corral bring a cinematic flair to this graphic novel, combining threads of Tintin-inspired seafaring adventure, political intrigue, tense courtroom drama, and, in the midst of it all, a budding romance. A gripping dramatization of a little-known, unbelievable true story of money, political power, and cultural heritage.
Paco Roca (Valencia, 1969) is a cartoonist and illustrator whose works have won a variety of awards, including Spain's National Comics Prize in 2008 and the prizes for best script and best work at the Barcelona International Comic Fair in 2008 and 2011. Guillermo Corral has worked as a career diplomat since 1997. The Treasure of the Black Swan, a work of fiction based on real events that he witnessed firsthand, marks his debut as a comic book writer.

Story and art by Rick Geary.
On January 15, 1947, a woman was walking with her daughter in a Los Angeles neighborhood. She passed what looked to be a discarded manikin. It turned out to be the body of Elizabeth Short: posed, drained of blood, meticulously scrubbed, and cut in two. From this point, Geary reconstitutes and reveals for us the life of this 22 year old woman who had become known as "Black Dahlia" because of her striking appearance. How could her life have ended in such a ghastly fashion? Was it a jealous boyfriend, a rejected suitor, or one of LA's notorious mafia connections whom she had apparently been dabbling with?
Eisner Award winner Geary takes us through all the twists and turns in one of the most captivating unsolved mysteries of the 20th century.
Hardcover, 6-in. x 9-in., 112 pages, B&W.
